Abstract
Emotional Intelligence is the ability to reason and form opinions using emotional intelligence and knowledge, some scientist believe that emotional intelligence can predict the success of a person or failures in the work place. There is not one single factor that creates emotional intelligence. There are several implications of emotional intelligence and different environmental/biological factors that could influence emotional intelligence and prove why emotional intelligence is valid and greatly necessary for people to be productive in their everyday life. In understanding emotional intelligence, what is important in understanding emotional intelligence is understanding where and how the individual grew up. Knowing the type of developmental setting and details of the childhood, adolescence, and adulthood can pinpoint emotional intelligence traits that could explain how an individual think, acts and interacts with other individual and their ability to form and keep a positive relationship. Throughout this paper we will be viewing different factors that could influence emotional intelligence as it relates to social, environmental, culture, and behavioral factors such as lifestyle. All these factors could be used in judgement and decision making. Based on an individual’s level of emotional intelligence these factors may highly influence a decision that they make or how well they handle situations. However, one of the downfalls to emotional intelligence is that it can be difficult to measure.
