SOLUTION
Part One: Dementia and Alzheimer’s
- The Alzheimer’s Association offers a wide range of support services for people with dementia, caregivers, and families. I explored the categories of “Care and Support” and “Community Resources”. In the “Care and Support” category, they offer resources for planning for future care, support for people with Alzheimer’s and their families, and education and training for professional care partners. In the “Community Resources” category, they provide information on support groups, local events, and other community-based programs. I found the information offered on this website helpful as it provides a comprehensive list of resources and support services that are available to those affected by Alzheimer’s.
- This section helps support the person with the disease by providing them with information on how to manage the disease and live well with Alzheimer’s. They offer tips on how to cope with daily challenges, how to communicate effectively with others, and how to access helpful services and programs.
- The website offers various resources for caregivers and families, including support groups, education and training programs, and financial resources. There is also a section on respite care, which provides information on short-term breaks for caregivers.
- I learned that Alzheimer’s is a complex disease that affects not only the person with the disease but also their families and caregivers. The Alzheimer’s Association provides comprehensive support and resources for those affected by the disease to help them navigate the challenges and manage the impact of the disease.
